About this tool

Type a color in HEX, rgb() or hsl() form, or use the picker, and get all three formats ready to copy. A preview swatch and contrast ratios against white and black help you decide whether text on that color will be readable.

How to use it

  1. Type a color code or pick one with the color picker.
  2. Copy the format you need.
  3. Check the contrast ratio, where 4.5:1 or more is good for body text.
