JSON ↔ CSV Converter
Convert JSON arrays to CSV and CSV back to JSON, with a download button.
About this tool
Move data between JSON and spreadsheets. Paste an array of JSON objects to get a CSV you can open in Excel or Google Sheets, with nested objects flattened into dotted column names. Or paste a CSV with a header row to get a JSON array. Quoted values, commas and line breaks inside cells are handled correctly.
How to use it
- Paste JSON or CSV into the input box.
- Choose a delimiter if you do not use commas.
- Click JSON to CSV or CSV to JSON, then copy or download.
Frequently asked questions
How are nested objects handled?
Nested objects are flattened, so {"a":{"b":1}} becomes a column named a.b. Arrays inside cells are written as JSON text.
Does CSV to JSON need a header row?
Yes. The first row is used as the property names.
Can I convert to YAML?
Not in this tool. Use the JSON ↔ YAML Converter for that.
